Hi, I'm a newbie. I'm experiencing judder at low rpm at gear shifts. It'll cost around $19,000 in my country to replace the whole gearbox/transmission assembly, since the dealer here can't do overhauls.
I'm trying to import the part in the US through a friend. The dealer won't give the exact part #. Where can I get the exact part using my VIN? I would like to know if I can just ignore this issue or will this deteriorate overtime? I'm really desperate please help. |

The stepstronic gear boxes are known to be troublesome....
Have you tried changing the transmission fluid ?? You could also take out an independant high end warranty as long as your cars been serviced reguarly that could help with replacement costs ![]()
