Default Electrical Problems

2003 3.0 Quattro

Recently the top two LEDs in my light switch only stay on for a couple of minutes before they start blinking and eventually turn off after the headlights and parking lights have been on for a while. I had the switch out and unplugged and re-plugged the wiring harness with no change. I tried a search with no luck.

Also, my temperature gauge recently started working intermittently. Some time its fine. Other times it just stays in the cold position and I’ve also watched it drop like a stone from normal to cold while driving.

Any assistance regarding these two issues would be appreciated.

thanks,
drs
