faulty light switch????????????????
hi there i own a 03 awx a4 with 60k on clock and completly randomly it fails to start for a few seconds. iv read this problem in this forum and it turned out to be a faulty light switch. it didnt say how or why this would interfere with the ignition but yesterday as i was starting the car i noticed the lights around the speedometer etc flashed on for a second. even though my lights were completly off. this made me think of what i read here before. id appreciate it if anyone could explain how a light switch could cause the engine to turn for a few seconds before starting. or what is the cause of this. thanks,
