Evening guys, I am currently a Volvo S70 owner. I have had this car for 7 years and love it! You can see a picture in my SIG.
I have always LOVED audi's but never had the need to buy one. I am looking at a B6 2004-2005 Audi A4 Ultra-Sport edition. I just can not decide between the 1.8t and 3.0. My question is... what is the benefit over one to the other? which can I Mod more and get better HP/tq gains? also which is more reliable? I heard that the 1.8Ts can be NIGHTMARES!! thank guys! ~dave ![]() ![]() 5000k HIDs, Clear Corners, Brembo Rotors *all four corners*, OMP strut brace, BMW Endlinks, Poly Mounts, 35% tint (oh what do you think of my car?)

1.8 T is better for modding, simple ECU remap will give you 40- 50 bhp increase.
3.0 you cant do a lot with bhp increase wise unless you bolt a turbo/ supercharger on it but thats big money ..

I think that you will be very impressed with the Audi switch. My buddy bought an a4 back in 2002 and then I purchased one in 2004, I will never not own an audi from this point on... Watch the Ultra Sport Option: the only reason to ever get an audi is for the Quattro. Most of the Ultra Sports that I have seen are front trak. Not worth buying. Also, no doubt about it... 1.8T is going to be a classic motor, highly efficient and highly modifiable. 5 valves per cylinder is what Ferraris are made of. Do your research, and good luck to you, my friend.

no- its not going to be... but as long as you have an MT and Quattro, you will soon learn the true enjoyment of driving an all wheel drive Audi. An for out of the box performance, the Volvo 850R is a pretty spirited ride. But just two or three mods and the Audi can be a real screamer... I mean 40-80hp from a $400 mod is insane!
