Default Replacement Of Rear Antirollbar

As part of my last service it was brought to my attention that the antiroll bar bushes/sleeves were starting to crack and that this is a direct replacement item.

Does anyone have any experience of changing this item? Is it doable by a competant spanner man or are there traps just waiting behind the wheels ? metphorically speaking that might catch you out it unprepared.

Any advice would be most welcome as I will be doing the rear brakes soon and as the wheels will be off it would make sense to do this job at the same time.

Thanks and regards in advance

Thanks VW754 for the information on this subject. Good to hear that the parts are available and it's not a diffuclt job at 20 minutes of which I would presume included taking the wheels off.

Regards

Archie

I had a problem with my rear antiroll bar bushes splitting on my 03 a4 cab. The problem was due to a design fault which Audi didnt advertise. Mine was replaced under warranty. As the problem existed whe the car was new owners of out of warranty cars would have a good case for a free fix

Thanks for that speary, I would imagine that at 6 years and 150+ miles a post warranty claim would be non to successful.
