Couple of easy questions about A4 '03 1.8T

I picked up one of these a couple of motnhs ago, and have been very happy with it. Just got a couple of questions if you've got one....

The remote boot release......on other cars with this feature, like Mercedes, when you release the boot remotely, the boot will actually pop up. Mine only releases the catch, you still have to lift it. Is this a Audi feature, or should I be expecting the boot to pop up?

The 6 speed gear box, I was a little disappointed with the top end revs. I thought the 6th gear would be added "on top" of the 5 speed, to allow you to cruise at higher speeds at lower revs, it seems though I'm still doing 4000rpm(ish) at 100 (on a private road obviously

) I used to do that in my old H reg escort. Anyone any idea what the gear ratios are compared to a standard 5 speed box?

The boots on these dont pop up like some of the other cars like mercs and the new passats. Mine also just releases the catch having 2 lift it myself....

Your 6th ratio seems to be about 25mph/1000 revs. My 5 speed in 5th does about 22.5/1000
