Hi. I'm going to buy an A4 cabriolet (an early one like a 02 or 52 plate) I've had an offer accepted on a 2.4 but it occured to me - (compared to a 1.8) that the insurance is more; it uses more petrol; and its 0-60 is slightly less.
So what is the advatage of a 2.4 over a 1.8? There seems to be a lot more 2.4's than 1.8 and 3.0lt so its more like that I will find the particular spec that i'm after as a 2.4... but have just had second thoughts and considered waiting for the right one to come along! Its just temping to go for this one as it is a good price for the mileage and has a good spec. Your advice would be really appriated ![]() cheers J |

Plus you can chip the 1.8t and parts will be cheaper let alone the option to upgrade the engine if you wish as the 2.4 will have nothing at all.
