Yes it can be done but you need to trim the sides of the climate control surround in order to lower it down. The centre console tapers in the lower down you go. Otherwise you will need the specific climate unit that has the narrower surround, this is not available separately it is part of the climate casing. When its all done it's great. I am assuming you have a single din radio at moment, in which case you will need the double din cage mounting behind all the plastic. The job is quite involved but if your a good diy 'er you should be ok. Then you will need Vag com to make sure all settings are correct and dis display is set up.I did the job myself and took me about a day, being carefull.
