DIS Service Reset

Just back from main dealer. They had to reset my DIS for a long life service as it appears they set it for a fixed interval. After 1600 miles on the last 40k service it was showing 7800miles or 216 days to next service.

Anyway, i checked it as i was driving home and the display for miles to go and days is blank with ------ replacing numbers. Is this normal? Should mileage and days appear soon?

give it 500 miles and it will appear..
