Please Advise on Modding a 2002 A4 3.0 quattro

I am seeking advice of anyone knowledgable in the area of midifications and increased performance, and would like to know several things:
1. For someone with a $1000 to spend, what would be the best way to invest in and Audi in order to increase horesepower/acceleration/
2. What are the best cosmetic (bumpers, sideskirts, spoilers, rims) as well as engine-sounding enhancements
3. How reasonable is it to modify a car? In other words, does Audi really need modifications, and if yes, can they increase their performance significantly.
I appreciate all of the input and reccomendation.

Hey, I dont know much about modifications on the Audi A4 for I havent done my homework however I do know that you will not be able to do performance upgrades and exterior mods listed on $1000. You will have to pick and choose what you want to be done. For example if you want the whole body kit this will cost probably 3/4 of your alloted $1000. Plus they need to be installed and maybe sprayed. So choose wisely.
