Non Starter!!!! A4-help

a4 tdi 2001 y-reg b6,changed fuel/diesel filter last week,started takin longer to start,only now and again.

went up m-way ,then as i was half way down m-way,it started to hesitate wen i slowed down slightly,and then put my foot down,then wen i came of m-way exit,car cut out,i let clutch out it kicked in,i carried on driving turned in my street,car cut out,will not start and battery light stays on,engine turns as normal,it died on me twice,as if it were out of diesel!

sounds like the filter is faulty or install incorrectly maybe casuing a blockage for fuel...

Have you managed to sort this yet?

changed filter seal today starts straite away now,however when i start it in the morning there's a lot of smell diesel fumes-no leaks,i've also noticed on idle you can just feel as if it has got a slight miss(even when driving) the smell of diesel fumes does dissapear as the car gets warmer-----HELP-----!!!!!!!!!!!
