Has anyone else had transmission overheating problems with their B6 S4? Happens only during Audi Club track school events. After about 15 minutes the gearbox overheats and computer puts the car into limp mode, meaning you lost half your power and you don't shift at will anymore. Back to the pits to cool off.

Maybe you should take the car back to Audi as its still under the 3 year warranty and get them to investigate(but dont tell them you are using it on track events) otherwise when the warrranty periods up you could be in for expensive repairs. Let us know how you get on.

yeah dont mention track days as it gives them a reason to say no..... take a Mechinic out for a fast drive on some road and get it do it that way!!
At the end of the day its a performacne car and these things should not happen! (ps.. what was wrong with not going for the manual box in the S4??) Cheers Rickt |
