Skid Plate

so yea we got like 2 feet of snow and i thought it would be cool to really see if we got 2 feet. hopped in my big bad a4 quattro and i was off i did like 40 mph down and open road (keep in mind its 2 am ) so im driving along and then i think to myself donut time

so im doing my thing and everything was all gravy head back home and backed into a spot only to fill my skid plate with like a foot of snow.... skid plate cracked and now i am missing a good chunk of it....

SOOOO.......

my question is: how important is my skidplate?

not really it doesnt really protect, its just plastic, mainly protect from dirt, snow and mud
