Any ideas guys? My drivers side rear brake light failed (2002 A4 Avant 130)
Anyway I removed the rear light unit (instructions found on this forum, thanks) New bulb - no good, new bulb works in other positions. Passenger side brake light OK ? Single fuse for lights I checked. 'Vorsprung durch technik' and all that but what in the circuit could affect one light ? |

one thing i would try to start with was to unplug both rear Clusters from the car and try the left cluster on the right on side. (if its the same as the 4dr) it will just plug straight in and test to establish whether the cluster or wiring is at fault. then try the right cluster on the left...
That way you will know if its wiring or a cluster!! (hope its the cluster!!) (if it is the cluster you should be able to repair it easy, it will be a contact which has got rusty or dirty, or a broken wire which can be fitted by replacing and soldering a new one in) Good Luck,, let us know the outcome, Thanks
