How many models of the A4 do you US pep's get to choose from??
Below are the UK model's of the A4 - loads and loads... i have read in on a few sites that the US marget is limited? is this true?? are all those the 2006 line up
all we get is a 2.0t and 3.2V6 you can get it with quattro or FWD u can get it wit out sport or sport we dont get much here in the states

yeah thats the 2005 - 2006 line up....
the below link has all the models on and reviews them all... http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/roadtest/others/?manuf1=Audi Yeah i hear that they are fair cheaper over there, but also here you dont get the half as much standard kit as us... (thats what i have read anyway??) also "jonn" you say the underpowered TDI's - 150bhp is now what they get for the 2.0tdi, what you also got to remeber how cheaper the fuel is over your way and because of this you can get the bigger engines.... for example here it is £1.06 per litre of Petrol and in some places diesel £1.11 which converts to petrol 97ron to $1.84 USD - so when you can get 48mpg out of a 150bhp diesel car it does not look too bad then.... Forget about the diesels and 1.6 since who in their right mind would like to splash $30k on a diesel or 1.6 engine, and any of them is S type? Can you imagine driving a 1.6 or a diesel Audi with S badge? You could not compete with Japanese products or Detroit ideas of a sport car and people would laugh at you. Are we talking about an Audi here or a econobox? If you worry about gas prices get a hybrid. www.audiusa.com will give you an idea of what's available here. Keep in mind though that almost 90% of all the Audi cars sold here are quattro. Audi main selling points are quattro, powerful engines, and handling. Front wheel drive and all the diesel nonsense is better left to economy cars or overtaxed europeans who cannot afford to drive what they bought.

The base model in the UK works out at around £18000 - £19000 GBP ( $32k) .... which is not bad at all as that fairly cheap.. . (dunno if thats a lot of cash for you over there but thats about normal for us)
you obviously dont know nothing what so ever about the diesel engines - i suggest you do a little research and actually start looking at some of the figures.. for example a 205bhp 3.0TDI? thats going to give your 1.8T a run for its money.. 0-60mph 7.4 - compared to the 8.8 of the 1.8T - and the top diesel is not far behind the 3.2FSI... -- believe you me if you had the line up we had you would actually realise a reason behind most of them... Going onto the Europeans who cant afford to drive what they bought.... listen hear... i spend £400 GBP on Petrol a month... about $697.040 USD - ... so you cant say us Europeans cant afford what we buy.....also if you know anything regarding motors (apart from you been a typically narrow mined) you would know what other cars are out there on the European / Aus / Asia market... and believe you me.. an Audi is not economy compared to the other cars are out there.. If you require a little education -- have a look at http://www.topgear.com/ Also Forums are not meant to be getting at each other.. sometimes as said mean times before you need to look out side of the box!
