in the end up i got the below reply from another forum - just thought i would post it for future ref... -
Thanks ########### Parking brake, adjusting Notes: -The parking brake cable adjusting elements are located in front of the rear lower transverse links. The rear brakes are self-adjusting, so it is unnecessary to adjust the parking brake. Adjustment is only necessary if the parking brake cables, brake calipers, brake pads and brake discs are renewed. The foot brake system must have been bled and must be functioning properly. The parking brake lever, the parking brake cables and the retainers must be fully installed. - Adjust the lever position at the brake calipers using spacers to ensure that A = 1.5 mm. - Firmly depress the brake pedal at least 3 times. For ease of illustration the diagram shows the parking brake lever removed from the vehicle. - Press the release button, Item -2- (both snap hooks should catch the parking brake cable eyelets). - Let go of the release button. - Firmly apply the parking brake lever at least 3x. - Parking brake lever in rest position. - Press the release button (both snap hooks should catch the parking brake cable eyelets). - Let go of the release button. - Remove the spacers from the brake calipers. - Check the lever position at the brake calipers. - Distance A between lever and stop should be between 0-1.5 mm.
