How accurate are the fuel consumption meters in the DIS.
For example, the DIS in my 2005 A4 says that I average around 9.2 litres /100 km for city driving, but when I fill it up and calculate the real rate, it is around 10.4, an error of greater than 10%. When you first fill the tank up, it estimates a 660 km range (presumably using the DIS figure of 9.2 litres / 100km) and the range steadily drops as the tank gets lower and ends up showing around 590 km range (which matches the real consumption of 10.2 litres / 100 km). Anyone know if the DIS can be reprogrammed with a more accurate setting? |
