Power Down Excessive Engine Noise

hi im getting excessive engine noise wen my a4 1.9tdi powers down.... so thats after ignition has been turned off......only lasts for about 8 seconds..i have noticed it b4 but then it was much quieter and u wud hav to strain slightly to hear it...does n e body kno wat could cause this..?

could it be your fan

It could be your air conditioning compressor spinning down
