Am Worried About Big Transmission Bill

I Bought an Audi A4 2.8 Avant tiptronic recently and was at first very happy. I started to notice the car shaking even thoguh I was not driving over bumps.

It seems to not know what gear to stay in as it shuffles up and down intermitedly. in the worst case the car shakes and I can feel the vibration on the accelerator.

Any thing over 2500 rpm is fine, I think this is going to cost a fortune.

Is there anybody out there who can help.

VAG it.

or go to the dealer.. its the tranny ECU actin up.

Our 2002 A4 was great until they "upgraded" the transmission software last month. Now it is AWFUL! Audi says it can't be put back the way it was because of Federal mandates. Does anyone have any suggestions? This is my first post. I look forward to the assistance of other owners. DM
