Radio Issues

I just bought a 2001 Audi A4 2.8 and the radio does not work.

I checked the fuse box and there is no fuse in #37. Bought a fuse for it and there is no metal holder in the fuse slot.

I am pretty sure I am looking in the right place. If I am not please correct me.

Any ideas? Solutions?

there should be a diagram on the fuse box cover telling you what that specific fuse is for, or in the drivers manual if you have one...

Ok so I went and checked. Fuse #37 Radio/Telephone is working properly. The radio just wont turn on. Where else can I go from here?

Going to take the head unit out tomorrow and check the fuse in the back of it and all the wiring.

Is there anything else I should check while im back there?

There is a specific code that will lock the radio, it's part of the alarm system. In the radio manual, if you have it, the unlock code is put in there. It's a 4 digit code, and anytime the battery is disconnected, or the electrical system is interrupted it will lock the radio. Try the code or you may have to go to the dealership to have them reset the radio code for you. There also is a second fuse that runs the radio in the fuse box by the driver's side door, you can check that one too. Hope this helped.

I fixed it. Radio system works great now. The fuse in the back of the radio was blown. Didn't need the radio code or anything.
