2001 2.8l Mods

I have an '01 2.8 that I have had for years.
I just bought an '05 2.0 that is now my daily driver.

I'd like to do some basic mods to the 2.8 now that it I can play around with it a bit. Are there any mods I can do easily to start off with?

What mods are the best and most effective for performance without busting the old credit card out?

I bought it with 21K(Now 101K) on it and it's bone stock just the way Audi made it(which I've always liked.) I just want to get a bit more "wow" out of it if possible.

Hey bud, I hate to break it to ya but you ain't gonna get any "WOW" out of it w/o spending between 2K-4K.

They make a supercharger kit for the 2.8 (I put one on mine) that you may can find used from anywhere from 1500 to 3000 depending on how old, all parts, etc. I got mine brand new for $3600 and it came with a 1 year unlimited mileage warranty.

If you are interested then go to scaudi.com. Other than that there really isn't much that is offered for the 2.8 as far as the engine goes. You can get suspension mods and upgrades so if taking a corner at 60 makes you go "WOW" then I guess you could go that route.

Not trying to make a racer out of it, she's still a good car and reliable. I just thought maybe there were quick mods to help her breathe better and suck down a little extra petrol.

If I wanted to go the 3-5K route, I'd just pick up a 1.8 A4 and do it right by putting the money into a motor with more potential.

Point taken. maybe you could do a K&N drop in, water methanol injection, an exhaust job....other than that and a SC the 2.8 is pretty limited man.

I have been looking at the Borla exhaust since it's stainless, I am hoping it isn't real loud...

And BTW, I have a twin one exhaust I could sell you for a good price. Only thing is I do believe it's kinda loud. If you get the Borla please take a sound clip and put it on here, I would love to see how it sounds. Anyways, let me know.
