Thumbs up Devil Eye Headlights Question

To start off, I am new so please excuse any ignorance on my behalf.

I own a 2000 A4 1.8t Q, and I am interested in purchasing/ and self-installing some 'Devil Eye' headlights that have been mentioned on Audizine and other Audi forums.

My questions are:

1. Which site is the most reliable to purchase these lights?
2. Will they be easy to install or require modification?
3. Are there any tutorials out there? ( I have searched and found none)

Thanks so much,

SouthwestAudi

Default ur gonna need a special screwdriver Devil eyes

the thing is ur gonna need the retared cusin of the allen key....i dont know the name of it but its 6 stared and a philips head screwdriver....now that u got ur tooly....

1. remove both screws on top of headlight
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<UNINSTALL>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>
2. (depending if u hav stock lights) remove clips off of "stock" headlights<these woud be the black clips on holding the lens to the headlight housing>

3. Use "tooly" again on the hing screw of the bracket that supports the headlight <CAUTION:!!!! do not lose site of these brackets they cost $44 a piece at the audi dealer and you will need the brackets again to support your new B5 exclusive headlights>

4. start pulling out the entire headlight out to work on the "signal light side, screw"

5. the stock turn signal lights clips onto the headlight so pull out the signal light out of the headlight <some force may be required>

6. At this point the headlight should be free <assuming you unplugged the headlights>
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<INSTALL>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >
1. (the devil eyes shud comin with bulbs inside the light and leds socketed) start by taking the screw off the J hook piece that is attached to the devil eyes headlight :::::save that piece for last

2. Reatach brackets that support the headlight on the bottom inside closest to radiator

3. now Retrive the J hook that was on your devil eye headlight and screw the bottom of the J hook into the bottom signal light side hole thing( do not severly tighten the J hook give it just alittle breathing room so that you can move it from side to side

4. place headlight into your beatiful car while insterting the bottom circle thing inside the bracket hole

5.<<WARNING>> Splice at ur Own risk: you may need to do some splicing in order to get the signal light to connect to the audi's wiring. my friend whos a car mechanic help me with this step....dont be alarmed if u hav no friends thats why u hav mE .....black is ground/ brown is ground CONNECT THOSE TOGETHER/
As for the other wires trial and error im too lazy to go to my car and check which ones were wired but this step is cruical to hav working headlights because you will get a ticket for not having proper signals...or u can bumm it and use ur arms...<<WARNING>> YOU WILL LOSE ALL COOL POINTS AND IT WILL NEGATE YOUR DEVIL EYES COOLNESS FACTOR

6. Instert the top inside 6 stared screws and tighten by hand

7. The J hook may not sit perfectly inside at a straight angle, but if u move it in to a postion that u can get the screw into the hole on the top of the headlight then you're good money, and tighten the screw with a philips head

8. Wire the headlights to the car and screw the top of the headlight with ur 6 starred tooly

9. Step back makesure if u need to make any adjustments

10. once adjusted Repeat on the passanger light.....how do i know u did the driver side first.....cause the stupid ****in air filter basicaly sits on the the passanger side headlight and u rather just see if u can do one first w.o takin soo many pieces off....i feel u

that'lll be $free.nintynine .....come again
