Default Door/Bootlid open warning on dash

Hi all,

I have owned my audi a4 b5 for more than a half year so far, very satisfy with it since there is no trouble on it so far.

But today, I have found the door open warning on the dash is not working. The red light on the door and the footwell light did come on when door is open, just the driver information system is not showing it correctly on the display (ignition on). But the bootlid warning is fine.

I have skim through the service manual but seems I cannot find the potential location of the problem.

This is just a very minor fault, just wondering if it is an easy fix. Do anyone have any experience on it?

many thanks!!
