1.9 tdi running temperature?

Hi All......I have a 98' audi a4, 1.9 tdi, AFN engine.
I was wondering what the normal running temp on these engines should be.
Mine sits pretty much at 90 in normal driving/stand still etc, but when its on the motorway, doing between 70-80mph, the temp creeps up to about 100.
Is this normal? Or if not, what could it be?

The normal running temp is 90, which it should hit on anything more than a short run.

The temp should not reach 100 unless you are in a very hot climate.

Check coolant is topped up and G12 or equivalent, and maybe change the dual temp sensor.

Read any fault codes.
