Backseat soaking wet??? WTF?

After driving in a good rainstorm the other day, I later found my drivers side back seat floor soaking wet?! How could this be? I checked the door seals and there is no water coming in there. Could it be clogged sunroof drains I've heard mentioned? Could it be something else? Please Help!

I had a similar problem with the boot. To solve it I led in the boot whilst someone poured a bucket of water over it. It turned out to be a tiny hole in the paint that I couldt even see. I just coated the area with clear nail varnish as it was under the boot. This solved the problem. You can be amaised by the amount of water that gets through a tiny pin hole!

It will be the drain hole just under the battery tray and the drain plug just under the Brake servo are blocked.

I'ts a common problem on the B5's.

Thanks for the info but I am not sure what the Brake Servo is and where it is located... Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had this problem with a golf it was my boot seal and the seal around my rear lights which had a couple of holes in them. The water seemed to be in my spare wheel well, foot well and on my back seats. It was like a mobile swimming pool

Look where your battery is and you will find a drain plug under that and then to the left of the battery is a large roundish shape and under that towards the back is another drain whole.
