Engine Reving through speakers

I installed a new pioneer head unit a few months ago, and it worked fine. Just lately it has begun to make static in sync with my engine revs. They only start once i rev to about 2800 and higher, but as i rev higher the static matches the pitch of my engine. Anyone know how to fix this?

sounds like an earthing problem, firstly id check all your wires just to be sure.

My friend had this problem on his system for his 94 mustang. It was solved my moving the ground cable. Most of the time it is because the cable is too close to your fuel pump, thus the higher pitch noise when RPMs are higher.
