Fake ko4's

Lately it has been difficult to source genuine KKK k04-15 turbos. Does anyone have any experience of dragon Parts. They appear to be a fairly large chinese company producing replicas. Generaly I would say "no way" but I hate to jump to conclusions. Although it has to be said most copies are as good as useless.

UPGRADE TURBOCHARGER K04-015 AUDI A4 A6 PASSAT 1.8T ! on eBay, also, Audi, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 08-May-08 10:03:20 BST)

At least they don't claim to be origional, does anyone have any experience of these blowers, or has anyone bought/know anyone who has bought one of these.

I have only heard of one case of one blowing up after 2 weeks but to be honest thia was here say so I can't say if they are good or bad.

I would say someone needs to test one but who will put there engine at risk to test one thats the thing.

Thanks for the reply. You seam to be of the same oppinion as me. Might be good, but a big gamble.

A lot of people think of a turbo failure as simply a case of getting a new turbo. If a turbo is very bad and the turbine disintigrates you just never know where the debris will end up. Worst case scinario fragments getting into the combustion chamber!

I dont recomend anyone being a test dummy

I will search around see if I can find any pros or cons.
