Default This is why I buy euro cars....

I work for a local dealership, so from time to time I will use my connections to drive some pretty nice cars (Shelby gt500, Nissan 350z). I do like them but i felt like something different for a change. I went into the local Honda dealership and asked if it were possible that I take an '08 s2000 out for a spin. They, without hesitation, tossed me a set of keys. I took it out and had a little bit of fun with it. (keep in mind that I also took a set of si civics, including a mugen si). When I got back, I gave them the keys and couldnt wait to get back behind the wheel of my 1.8T. I like the power delivery of the n/a, but it just feels so heavy. I got in my car and mashed the throttle, only to be glad that I didnt even consider purchasing the 2000. I am officially hooked and I am an audi lover for life.

...now I just need to start modifying my engine.

Right now, my pockets arent that big. But the thing is, this is the first car i have owned that hasnt bored me within the first six months of ownership. I dont mind waiting until I can put a little bit here and there into the audi.

That’s the way I do things I'm a budget builder waiting for the right thing at the right price so ebay and second-hand parts are what my car is made off (sound horrible) and I'm very selective of what I buy.

Take my RS4 body, I bought a RS4 shell for £2150/$4300 and sold around £1500/$3000 worth of parts from the shell and I even sold the cut up shell for £150/$300 so bargains can be found if you look around.

I am an audi lover for life too, once when you are in Euro car, it's hard to go back J-car.

I don't actually own an Audi (just perusing the forums to do some research- little brother may be getting an A4 and want to find out about any common problems in advance), but can't help agreeing with you when I saw the post.

I work at a Honda/Acura dealership. Sure I could get an excellent deal on an S2K or a Civic Si or even a TL- but I drive a MINI Cooper S... and probably couldn't go back to another Japanese car.

The fit and finish/feel is so much better. Not to mention less people with $30 Autozone mufflers.
