I have had mt Audi a4 1.8t for 6 months, the timespan means all my usage has been in Winter months.
Because of this the heaters have been at least set to possition 1 for each journey. Yesterday was the first half decent day (in terms of weather) so blowers where off and hest was set to "cold" usualy the temp gauge sits nice and low 65-75, with heaters off it was close to half way 90. Is this normal or is it time to get my hands dirty. Mack. |

It really should sit at 90 all of the time regardless of heater position etc, i would suspect your thermostat

If you put your air condition on to the "LO" setting you should be getting cold. But if you move it up to 65 degrees and you start to get heat, you may have a program issue. Take it to a dealer and have him reset the program that controls the air condition. That hopefully will fix the problem. Good Luck

my model doesnt have the air con function (live in scotland so wouldent use it antway lol)
I changed the thermostat and alll seams to be running nice. Yestarday it was running quite hot, and seamed to be running a little off. seamed almost to be off on a cylinder from time to time. I done a flush at the same time, will also do the viscus drive for the fan, seamed to be very little resistance when spun. Cured.... I hope! |
