Hey guys just got a question
I have family coming over from Europe to Canada in a month and would love them to bring over a 2001 RS4 avant body kit . Now the question is,....will a Euro spec Avant front and rear bumper and skirts fit on my North American sedan?? It appears that it would. My car is a pre-face lift 99 (two piece lights, small side markers, ugly door handles).Does anyone know if it can be done because I am excited about it!!!! P.S. I know all you moderators will know, so help me out! |

You say RS4 body kit so I think you’re on about replica kit if so you may have a slight issue with the rear valance kit as I'm not sure if you share the same spec as the US rear bumper which is larger than ours.
The front will be OK as you have to de-skin the front bumper anyways and use the bumper iron to bond on to and side skirts will be the same. I have to say I can't see how you will be able to get the airline to allow them to bring a huge kit over without prior arrangements though. Please confirm the kit and may be a link would be good.

[quote=docurley;140636]Well Reiger do a plastic bumper that fit our car but ebay sell loads but most will be fiberglass but I would get a S4 bumper and do the RS4 grill conversion on it and add the S4 rear bumper and side skirts to a much better look.
what are the adventigies and disadventigies of plastic and fiberglass |

Docurley!! I thought maybe I could order an original RS4 kit from a dealer, but now think maybe after market will be better. So listen I have the 2008 RS4 replica rims on my 99 A4 and RS4 grill. I want a kit with a sporty Audi look and not a Honda Civic on perks look. Could you direct me to that link your pics came from. (Yellow Audi)

Ok the Yellow car above is in fact a S4 with the two outer grills modified and the middle bar removed (I can get you a write-up to do this). So if you like the yellow car you will need to hunt around for a S4 front bumper and sides and if you want to be different get rid of the upper door trims like the RS4 and then fit a Euro spec S4 rear bumper.
I have to say the rear bumper is not cheap but the rest of the parts you can pick up quite cheap-ish second-hand. The advantage of this is that the parts are all Audi. The advantage of plastic is that it bends unlike fibreglass which is less forgiving and tends to shatter if hit.
