Default something burning towards rear of 2.8 engine

as i pulled up at local swimming baths today, i poked my head out of the window whilst parking, as i dodnt want to kurb my alloys
whilst looking, i noticed a little bit of smoke coming from the wheel arch!
when i got it straight, i popped the bonnet, and i could see a little smoke coming from behind the air box
could someone suggest what this is from?

water level and oil levels are ok
there is a slight wine moise whilst driving, but i think that is coming from the from the cam belt area

I have also had this issue. After installing a intake on my A4 I noticed the same thing, In my case I noticed a valve that I must have knocked loose installing the intake. It was like a PCV valve I really didnt look that close but I just pushed it back in. No further problems at this time.
