Lightbulb RS6 Engine in S4

I'm new so hi.

No knowledge of mechanics really but just wondering if it is possible to stick the big V8 lump from the RS6 into the S4, would really make that car a missile.

Thanks for any replies, keep them kind

its possible with custom driveshafts. the motor would be VERY snug if you pulled it off though. if you were to do this, id recommend to sit the motor a little farther back for handleing purposes.

What you really should do is screw the rs6 motor because you cant really do anything with that, and put the rs6 turbos on the s4 and get it remapped

The problem with conversion is that it's way too long for the engine bay because of the Auto box and they will have to make a custom front end to rap it all up.

Now if you wanted to drop in say a S8 V8 lump you will find it will fit with some custom work and you will have the options of doing a custom Turbo conversion or a Supercharger. The S8 engine gives you the option of running a manual box with a smaller flywheel adapter which the RS6 engine does not allow.

Another V8-engined B5, this time, based in Canada.

4,2L V8 32V SFI from a B6/7 S4...

A friend of mine is doing the S8 engine in to his RS4 body A4 with an S4 6 speed box and custon built fly wheel which he will Turbo or Supercharge at a later date.

This £100/$200 TDi will be the engine bay donnor before it goes in to his main car.

Oh and Cosworth did the coversion for Audi for the B6 S4 some years ago.
