sensor???

ok so i have an 01 1.8t quattro and recently someone scraped my front bumper on the left side....directly under the headlights ( hids) there are two little covers...the one that got scrapped popped off and was lost...underneath that cover it looks like a little sensor...its exposed and it has two prongs...is that a sensor?? if so what for? and where can i get a replacement for the cover... blaupaurts which has a ****load of scrap parts doesnt have it and im not near a dealership... any suggestions or answers are welcome..

U have a pic possibly? Are you talking about the covers that stick up like little bumps infront of each headlight? if so it would be your headlight washer jets... but i'm not sure if thats what you're talkin about.
