Default this looks expensive

i have an audi s4 year is 2000 its done 63000 miles and i have a problem. whilst driving down the moterway the other night i hit a bump and my traction control kicked then my abs lights came on. now both of the lights are permantly on and i dont know if my trction control is on or off . i have had it in the garage and these are the codes does anybody have any ideas what the problem is cheers fatphil.

18265 load signal trouble code from engine ecu p1857 these are what the diagnostics machine printed out when plugged in please help

18265 P1857 Load Signal Error Message from Engine Contr.

If you hit a bump, it may just be the wheel alignment that is slightly out.
Why not take it to one of the tyre places like Kwik-fit? They can put your car on the ramp and look for any obvious problems and even check the wheel alignment, without charging you silly money for the service.

cheers for that but the diagnostics says that it is an engine ecu fault and the traction control and abs are turned off i have tried them both, quite fun i might add but not very safe any other suggestions
