Default intake...

hey everyone.. im thinkin about gettin a cold air intake for my 96 A4.... lookin to spend any where from 150 to 300 on it.. any suggestions? thnks

Not worth the money and you will loose power rather than gain as all you will be doing is sucking in hot air.

i don't know how much these actuall help, or if their even what you're looking for, but man do they look sweet... Products > SHOP AUDI > A4 > Air Intakes

If you really want to spend that much money then go for the evo or carbonio intake but if you don't want to spend that much which i would recommend not you can build one for about $50 dollars by going to any auto store and using metal or plastic pipes to construct your own and then build a heat shield for it.

im actually wanting to do sumthing about the poor mpg my audi produces.... thats why i was leaning twoards the intake.... in many cases, the intakes (2 to $300) i have checked out seemed to increase hp and mpg at the same time....

It's not going to happen what you might want to do is a full service and replace some of the old air pipes and may a seafoam clean to clean all the sludge out and may be some new air line while you are at it as a intake is not going to do it.
