Default Fitting bumer fom facelift on pre 98 B5

and fitting some projector headlamps that look like the facelift, i thought i should fit the fog lights too
also the bumper suffered some light damage in heavy winds last year, so i thought i'd fit one off a 99 models

it not as easy as i thought!!!!!!
getting it off took ages, around 2 hours
then i had o fit my new bumper
the to main bolts at the front were ok, but as it is off a facelift, the connections in the arch were nowhere near!!!!!

to overcome this, i have had to drill a small hole from the wing to the bumper, to bolt it in place

i have yet to fit the grilles and wire the fogs in, as it got too dark, but early indications are that it looks mint, and i am hapy with it
i'll post some pics up soon as its finished

just had my bumper off again so i coud repai my alternator!
turns out that the thng in the way was the horn so i am going to make a small bracket in work so i can move it a bit.

i need halp on the wiring though
my old headlamps had fog lights i the headlamps which had 3 wires going into them:
yellow & black
brown & blue
brown & white

my new fogs in the bumper only have 2 connections
i am guessing that the yellow and black is positive, and the 2 brown are earths, with 1 of them having something to do with the fog light switch on the dash?

can anyone shed any light on this for me?
ideally i could do with the plugs that go into the fog lights, so that fitting is nice and tidy. where can i get these from? are they a standard type of plug?

To fit a facelift bumper to the pre facelift car, you need the wing mounts for the later car,the screw straight on to the wings no problem. Also to fit the fogs one of the horns needs to be moved, i mounted mine higher up,and its still there now even tho i have an S4 bumper.I Just dropped the wires for the fogs down to the bumper mounted ones job done,I do not recall ther being 3. use a meter and check which one is positive and make your own earth if you want to be sure.

The connectors are similar to others around the car, but i was lucky and got the correct ones for mine form the donor car. you could use small spades and then fill the hole with hot glue to make it water proof?
