howling/whistling noise coming from driver's side rear wheel well

i did the wheel bearing on that wheel last year so i'm eliminating that possibility from the equation. i have no idea what it could be, any ideas?

My first guess would be the brakes more specific the brake pads.

it only makes the sound during acceleration; not when i'm coasting in neutral and not when i'm braking. its strangely louder from like 2500rpm to like 2700rpm.

it really doesn't sound like a brake issue but it may be - the caliper on that wheel is in kind of sad shape...
