A4 Quattro Steering

I have a 2000 A4 2.8 Quattro. I just bought the car. The steering seemed funny so replaced power steering pump. It drives better,but still feels a bit stiff. I have heard the Quattro's are a little tighter feeling. Just wanted to know if this how they are supposed to feel.

Do you have Tiptronic auto trans?

The reason I ask is because on my Avant the steering wheel controls are for shifting the gears in manual mode.

Yes it has Triptronic, Thanks for the tip. Because I don't have a owners manual I would have never guessed...Prob.thought for cruise control. I did use the controls today...Pretty neat feature !!!
