I just recently purchased a new A4 1.8T 2001 model. The B5 i think ( old shape) which has 150 BHP I believe. I was expecting it to be a bit more aggressive/powerful and make that turbo sound. What am i missing? I was told to chip it and possibly change the air filter t increase the power. I dont have a big idea about how all this stuff works. Any advice on what the best way to do this is and something that wont break the bank either! i would like to have that turbo sound and some more power.
Thanks |

The DV is the dump/diverter valve which recirculates the air from the turbo back into the intake system on our cars ..
The stock bosche units are prone to failure and a aftermarket valve is advised if a remap is done .. New valve like forge etc expect to pay around £100.. Remap which should see you add another 50 bhp increase anywhere betweeen £250 - £500 depending on who you use ..
