Default My airbag light has come on!

when i parked uplast night, everything was ok
i got in it this morning and the airbag light never went off when i tirned the ignition on. what can cause this?

It could be caused by the plug under the seat which need cleaning as the connection can get dirty or loose.

Now the prob lem you have is that you are going to need to have the light rest by VAGCOM as it will not go out now till its done.

Hello Rob,docs on the right lines and it will be the drivers seat side airbag,the repair is to cut the original connection out and fit duraseal connectors to reduce the possibility of the wiring contacts moving.It only takes a slight jolt on the airbag circuit as it is so sensative.

is this the software you can buy for your pc?
if so i know someone who is getting it, if not, what is it?

just plugged VAGCOM in and cleared the fault, and it stayed off
so i'll see if it comes back any time soon, if it does, i'll try to fix it

well its come back on
but i think it was when my other half slid the passenger side front seat forward, so is there a plug under that seat?

if the fault code relates to the passenger side then cut the connector for the passenger seat and reconnect using duraseal connections only
