Audi a4 1.8t quattro fuel consumption - Page 2

got very puzzled, tested by a vag-com, tried about 10 tests from the repair manual - oxygen sensors and maf values are perfect - as it is written in a manual. no fault codes. the only thing i found - instument code showed 00242 that i changed to 00244 as the car is turbo-charged. i think it would change nothing, but anyway, will see the consumption this weekend. what a hell with the car....

i have a uk b5 2WD that is standard (for now) except for a forge hybrid DV and a boost gauge and i get an ave of 20MPG in city but when out on open road avg about 40MPG. seems normal here too

my advice to you is to check all the hoses leading to the turbo. Mine was doing the same thing and after checking all the hoses, I noticed that one of the check valves had busted. After changing it, ( before changing it, gas consumption was 17,9), gas came up to 22.2 local. big difference.
