Fault in Cooling System

Hi, my 1998 A4 is showing the big red warning light for a fault in the cooling system everytime i start the car. The car is running fine, and seems to be at normal running temperatures when in use. Anybody got any ideas what could be causing this, and possible ways to fix it?? Cheers

Bridge the two pin connector underneath the coolant header tank.If this fixes the fault replace the hole tank as the coolant shortage sender isnt a seperate part.
