The clues are skimpy because my wife was driving 1.8t quatttro avant with `73k miles. The car just quit without any warning while driving on the freeway. My wife says the oil light went on, and it totally lost power. She was intermittently able to run the accessories with the ignition. She attempted to turn the key, and nothing happened. She was on the freeway with kids and a puppy, so she was unwilling to do more investigation under the hood. The car sits waiting for the service department at Sunset Audi in Beaverton, OR. (200 miles away from home).
Given the infromation, are there any usual suspects? Does anybody have advice? Can I trust Sunset to do right by me??? jws |

Have a look if the cam belt has snapped or it could be the Alternator or possibly the battery.
