car died dramaticly !!

Just on my way home after a half hour journey and the oil level warning came on. Stopped and checked level, ok.
I was only 2 mins from home so I carried on, only to loose the turbo boost and engine sounded like a bag of nails, then it died on the side of the road. Now will not start, sounds like no compression in engine, and ideas please ???

I started to look into this and as I was dismanteling the front of the engine I removed the turbo intake hose only to find a nice shiny nut in there, it has come from the front of the turbo intake shaft. Result, 1 F####D turbo....! Talking to a VAG mechanic this is a common problem especially on newer cars, and they are changing many under warranty. Maybe VAG could do mine for me ??
Probably not a chance.......
