Default Body shake when engine revved

Hi All,

Am a newbie here. Big fan of Audi's, considering buying a 2001 A4 1.8T quattro manual with 70K miles on it. I drove the car and it was great except for one thing- there is a brief body shake when I rev the engine standing still. It idles smoothly and when I rev it, it increases revs smoothly too, but gives a brief shake to the whole body when its revving down to idle.

Any ideas? Also, if anyone thinks this buy is a bad idea, feel free to let me know....

Thanks!!

AJ

I am not positive but it could be something very simple such as a idle air sensor or the throttle body needs some de-greasing/cleaning. Both are cheap jobs, but kinda a ***** to do.
