Default Air Filter

I Have an A4 1.9 TDI 110 and have just replaced the air filter whilst doing a service with another standard audi filter. However in 2nd, 3rd and 4th when I accelerate and the revs get above 2500rpm there is a noise like the air filter is drawing in far more air than normal. I've checked that the filter is fitted properly and also rechecked there are no holes in the plastic tubing from front to air filter. Should it be doing this as a friend has exactly the same car but SE version and his doesn't sound like its drawing more air thn normal.

One other thing. Has anyone got a link to adjusting doors. Mine has dropped fractionally but its catching when i close it and the haynes manual aint great in this area.

Thanks
