Default brakes

So, about 6 months ago, I went to Meineke to have them install new brakes on my Audi. They put in ceramic brakes and supposedly matching rotors. Beginning from the first week until about 5 months later, the brakes would squeal when I lightly stepped on it when driving slowly and sometimes during higher speeds.

I decide to take it back to Meineke and was advised by a mechanic that my brakes were fine and to wait until the cold and wet weather passes to see if the brakes improve. I was not content with his response as my brakes continued to squeal through 2 miles of traffic.

Anyone know why this is the case?

Ummm... i took a vacation about a month ago and had my car parked the entire time. There was a build up of rust on the brakes. I drove and frequently stepped on the brakes so I could get rid of the rust. It's almost all gone now, but now when I step on the brakes, it seems a little rigid (my car vibrates, mostly at higher speeds), as if the brakes are thicker on one part. Is this normal? It's been three days. Is this something that I could have Meineke fix since they said that my brakes would be covered for an entire year when they installed it?
