Hi guys,
I'm trying to sort out my a/c which hasn't really worked for best part of a year. About 10 months ago an Audi mechanic topped up the gas, but told me I needed a new blower fan. I couldn't afford it at the time so left it. I just bought one off Ebay and fitted it. Now have air rushing through all the vents. Great news. The air doesn't get cold though. Using the climate control OBD codes I have the following fault- 22.1 (F118) A/C refrigerant high pressure switch, static open, * *compressor remains off until switch closes. Would really appreciate it if someone can guide me on how to proceed from here. Many thanks. |

Thank you both for the replies.
I've not heard it called the trinary switch before- is that the name of the part I should look for, or is it likely to be called something else? And if the system is overcharged, then do I need a new switch, or is there an easy way to rectify the situation? Thanks again. |
