The hub can be left on, as its pressed into the bearing. Everything else has to come off, including the ABS sensor, be carefull with it too.

is there some sort of trick to getting the ABS sensor off without breaking it? does it unscrew, pull out or what?

that's right, take the whole casting off and go get it pressed in and out at a shop, I don't think it's possible to replace the bearing without a press or at least to do it properly

I had the same problem with one of the sensors, it was really tight, but worked it out with patience, the other one came off easy, mine were held on with only one screw, then they slide out with a little work

i just finished mine up. i found the SFK bearing for about $53 and free shipping online. the cheapest bearing around here was about $127. i took it to a friend and had him press it the old one out and new one in. he charged me $30. with all the fees added up the job cost me under $85, whereas at a dealership it would be in the couple hundreds range. good luck rob, mine was a challenge to get out. if you have some automotive know how and the right tools you should get it done in 2 days or so.

take off the rear seat and disconnect the sensor to the computer. you have to remove the grommet through the body to get the wire out - don't try and remove the sensor from the casting.
