Oil light on Dash

Hi Everyone

Yesterday the oil light came on the dash, I check the oil and topped it up.
Now the light is still on, In the manual it say get it checked out.

When I called the used car dealer he said that you have to reset the oil light. I have never heard anything like that before. is this true and how can this be done?

Hi there not sure about re-setting the oil light ?? but mine came on and off for about a week or so and it ended up with having to replace the oil pump at about £600 so i hope for your sake its not that !!
